Pre-dinner drinks in the Churchill Bar
Pre-drinks were at 1800hrs in the Churchill Bar
with everyone being Piped in to The Sovereign's Room for Dinner by Pipe Major Ian Hughes from RAF Pipes & Drums (Central Scotland) 
Ham hock, lentil & Toulouse sausage terrine, rum raisin purée, crostini
*** Suprême corn-fed chicken “Cocotte” served with glazed onions & mushrooms with Cocotte potatoes, braised savoy cabbage and roast jus *** Apple, plum & frangipane tart with crème Anglaise *** Coffee and Petits Fours |
Guests were Welcomed by Wg Cdr Andy Moir RAF (Retd) who very graciously stood in for The President who had a prior family commitment and The Chairman who is mending slowly.

Wg Cdr Moir continued with the evening with the Loyal Toast then Mrs Gill Vissers gave the toast to No. 43(F) Squadron which read . .
From Hunter, to Phantom and the Mighty F3 -
They were the Pride of the Skies for Forty Three . . . . and me!
No longer at Leuchars but the memories are there -
Many stories and banter of great jets in the air!
From Groundcrew to aircrew - no difference here -
it all boils down to good cheer and GREAT Beer!
Ladies and Gentlemen . . . .A toast to no. 43(F) Squadron . . . IS THERE A FIGHTING COCK IN THE HOUSE? . . . . . .
Mr Jim Campbell then gave a tribute and toast to Absent Friends

Author, Researcher and Joint Founder of the Tangmere Aviation Museum.
